Carmella Padilla is a journalist, author and editor writes extensively about the art, culture and history of New Mexico. Padilla also frequently consults with nonprofit organizations in areas of communications, marketing and public relations.

Other honors include the 2009 New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and the 1996 Santa Fe Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Literary Arts.
