For Nonprofits

New Mexico Community Foundation (NMCF) directs a robust statewide grant-making program that supports nonprofit organizations in innovative projects inspired and empowered by the communities they serve.

Partnering with fledgling charitable projects and established nonprofits alike, NMCF provides grants to address specific community needs, issues or opportunities.

NMCF is the only community foundation in New Mexico that creates and runs locally-based programs and initiatives that address critical issues affecting individual communities statewide.

NMCF’s broad range of grants and services help our partners grow, succeed and achieve long term sustainability.

Together We Thrive

Grants are made available via a number of established NMCF advised funds and special program initiatives run by NMCF. This combination of advised and initiative grant making allows NMCF to provide flexible and targeted grants that are comprehensive in scope.

In 2012 alone, NMCF granted nearly $5.8 million in grants and scholarships to New Mexico nonprofit organizations and students. Our list of the communities we serve by region, and our recent grants from 2008 to 2012, demonstrates NMCF’s critical role as a thought-leader in philanthropy and a catalyst of community change.

In addition to grants, areas of funding support and services include:
