Board

The New Mexico Community Foundation Board is comprised of community leaders and professionals who have a deep commitment to New Mexico. Members serve as volunteers without remuneration.

Jay Rosenblum, Chair, Albuquerque, NM

President/CEO of Sutin, Thayer & Browne and President of David Specter Shalom House, Jay is currently a member of the State Bar of New Mexico and The American Bar Association.

He served as Director of Business Section of the State Bar of NM, 1985-96, was Co-Founder of New Mexico Employee Benefits Roundtable, and has conducted numerous local and national seminars and presentations on business and law.

Deborah Gallegos, Treasurer, Corrales, NM

Director, Manager Research for Strategic Investment Solutions, Deborah is a native of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. She recently served as Chief Investment Officer for the City of New York. Deborah also served as the Deputy State Investment Officer for the State Investment Council after a long tenure in the private financial services sector. Deborah began her service with the New Mexico Community Foundation as a member of the Investment Committee. She serves as the Treasurer of the Stern Grove Festival Foundation (San Francisco) and as a member of the Investment Committee for the City College of San Francisco.

Sarah Manges, Secretary, Pojoaque, NM

Attorney at Law, Sarah is currently a Member of the New Mexico Bar Association, Member of the Board of Directors for Community and Indian Legal Services, Member of the Board for American Youth Soccer Organization and a member of the Junior League of Albuquerque.

Sarah is a former Assistant Attorney General for New Mexico, Legal Counsel in the Office of New Mexico Cultural Affairs, New Mexico Literacy volunteer and has served on the Boards of Directors for the Spanish Institute of the Arts and La Casita Preschool.

Bruce Bleakman, Albuqueruque, NM

A Principal (partner) with REDW, The Rogoff Firm, New Mexico’s largest CPA firm, Bruce has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. He has been a supporter of New Mexico Community Foundation for many years, serving on the Foundation’s Albuquerque Steering Committee.

As a CPA, Bruce specializes in serving tribal governments and their enterprises. Working with Tribes and Pueblos in New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, California, and Washington State, Bruce understands the vital role played by organizations like the New Mexico Community Foundation in supporting people and enhancing their lives.

Bruce is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the AICPA’s State & Local Government Expert Panel and its Gaming Task Force. Bruce is a member of the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Audit Committee and the Investment Committee of the American Indian Graduate Center. He has also served on the Audit Committee of Albuquerque Public Schools.

Patricia McBride, La Cienega, NM

Patricia is CEO and Managing Member, Santa Fe Investment Partners, a firm specializing in investments in distressed commercial properties. She has extensive experience as real estate finance professional. She was Project manager for real estate loan and property portfolio for Resolution Trust Corporation, and Senior Consultant for FSLIC on failed Savings & Loans’ loan and property dispositions.

Her career includes over 25 years of experience in executive and management positions with focus on financial management. She is the former Chief Financial Officer, Dean of Finance and Administration, Antioch University, Southern California in Los Angeles; the Chief Financial Officer of the Elizabeth Glaser AIDS Foundation, Washington, DC; Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration, Arthritis Foundation, Southern California Chapter, Los Angeles.

John Ulrich, Albuquerque, NM

Managing Director, Sovereign Finance, John has served as Senior Investment Consultant for Strategic Wealth Management, Vice President of Loomis Sayles & Co. LP, Principal and Managing Director of the Medallion Investment Management Corporation, Vice President of Merrill Lynch & Co, Member of the Board of Advisors of the University of New Mexico Cancer Center, Executive Board Member of the American Cancer Society, Chairman of their Income Development Campaign, and Vice President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Albuquerque.
