The New Mexico Community Foundation Celebrates its 25th Anniversary: Growing Together!

In 1983, a group of visionary individuals made a special commitment to New Mexico by forming a statewide community foundation dedicated to serving and investing in New Mexico’s communities and its greatest asset… people. We have the distinct honor of connecting caring people, significant resources and innovative ideas to improve life for all who live in New Mexico.

As a tax-exempt organization serving communities throughout the state, we celebrate our 25th Anniversary through by celebrating you…and Growing Together! Through the years your expression of support has made a difference to the lives of countless people.

Growing Together

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, New Mexico Community Foundation is hard at work building resources and making grants that help to overcome inequity, empower people and strengthen communities across the state. In 2007, NMCF awarded a record-breaking $5.8 million in grants. NMCF attracts many resources from large, national foundations—each compelled by the extraordinary potential of this state and the contributions to that potential that New Mexico’s people, organizations and corporations make every day.

This anniversary year, NMCF is launching two special giving opportunities:

1. The Community Fund, which enables NMCF to implement effective grant programs, provide service and leadership in statewide partnerships, and collaborate to develop additional resources for our communities.
2. The Strengthening New Mexico Families Fund, a resource dedicated to helping children achieve their potential
